Second building we’ve designed in Porto, Portugal, the Monte Alegre Bldg. is on a quiet corner 20 minutes walk from Lapa metro station. There are nine apartments with well-resolved plants, generous three-leaf windows, bright rooms, skylights over the common staircase, balconies over the sidewalks, and a unique solution to the “problem of the corner”.
Close to everything but far from the noise, the spot is valued for its quiet residential scale and good facilities nearby: the Constitution Swimming Pool, Holmes Place Fitness Academy, Casa da Música music hall, Quinta do Covelo park, etc. Not to mention the small Pombeiro restaurant where, experts say, you can eat the best Francesinha in Porto … The Monte Alegre licensing project was submitted to the Porto City Hall in November 2020.
