The Equestrian Center is part of the new Deodoro Sports Complex in the Western Zone of Rio de Janeiro that was built to host the XV Pan-American Games – Rio-2007. Vazio S/A designed the squares and gardens of the Complex. The Equestrian Center’s landscape design is a volumetric translation of its plan, which comprises a linear sequence of rectangles where most of the plants are high grasses, capable to grow in the very short term (only 3 months!) available to the quick maturation of the garden.
