Organized by the X Architecture Biennale in São Paulo, the Residence Bixiga generated the proposal “From the Site to the Neighborhood”, synthesized in the booklet below. Made in partnership by architects from the University of Leuven (Jonas Knapen and Jeroen Stevens), the architects of Teatro Oficina (Carila Matzenbacher and Marilia Gallmeister) and Vazio S/A (Carlos and Daila), the project proposes a way of opening Teatro Oficina for Bixiga neighborhood, expanding it to idle void spaces under Jaceguai viaduct as a strategy to revitalize the whole area.
